Network fee impact

A network fee is a fixed cost, so its significance is entirely a function of how much you are sending. The same $2.50 is trivial on $5,000 and ruinous on $20.

Set a ceiling, then work backwards

The useful direction is not “what does this fee cost?” but “what is the smallest transfer I should make?”. Set the share of a transfer you are willing to lose, and the tool returns the minimum amount that satisfies it: fee ÷ ceiling.

Batching

Because the fee is fixed per transaction, ten small sends cost ten fees and one consolidated send costs one. The tool shows what batching saves. This is the whole reason exchanges consolidate withdrawals.

What this does not model

Fees are volatile and are quoted in the network’s own asset, so the dollar figure moves with both congestion and price. Use the fee quoted at the moment you send, not a remembered one. Exchange withdrawal fees are a separate charge on top and are frequently higher than the network cost.
